What it is that you like about Japan?

I’m sure food comes at the top of your list.

Right?

But if you’ve ever travelled alone, you know that dining alone can be a bit awkward.

Worry not.

In Japan, there’s a long tradition of restaurants catering to solo diners, and the trend has only grown in recent years.

From Sushi, Yakiniku to hot pot to Western-style cuisine, there are plenty of options for those dining alone.

Now, I’m thinking this trend is going to be the next “it” thing in Japan’s tourism.

In fact, I’m told already some international travelers and residents have come to appreciate the joys and ease of dining alone while in Japan.

This trend is part of a broader movement toward solo activities in Japan, as people increasingly seek out experiences on their own terms.

This trend has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has made solo activities the norm in many places.

Golf courses, gyms, karaokes etc.

So how about considering coming to Japan for your quality solo time which we call it here “Ohitorisama”.

Don’t be afraid to dine alone here, I guarantee this could well be the highlight of your trip.
